Whilst Britain's sweetheart Cheryl Cole prepares to launch her stateside career with her third solo album and as one of the confirmed judges on new show X-Factor USA, her band mate Nicola Roberts is hard at work with her own debut solo project. Titled "Cinderella's Eyes", the project features production from the likes of Metronomy and Dragonette, with two rumored song titles being "Baby In The Corner" and "Cinderella Eyes".

Britain's most famous ginger babe has picked Diplo & Switch production "Beat of My Drum" as the first official release to be lifted from the project. The instrumental of the track (the first thing to be heard from the project) sounded like a revamped and improved version of Beyoncé's current single "Run The World (Girls)", another Diplo production which is currently floundering on the charts. However, the 30 second snippet of the track which leaked today shows greater semblance to the music of white girl rappers Uffie and Colette Carr than America's #1 booty-shaking diva.

Due out June 5, I can barely brace myself for the epicness that will be Nicola effortlessly snatching every other Brit girl's metaphorical wig throughout the rest of 2011. Stay tuned !
