Four years since it's debut, an alternate version of the music video of Britney Spears' iconic "comeback" single "Gimme More". Propelled by Britney's now infamous debut performance on the MTV VMA's, the song went on to sell over 3 million worldwide and peaked at #3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and UK Top 40 charts.
Featuring additional scenes and extended footage of Britney pole-dancing, the new version of the video clip comes right before a purchase week (starting July 26th) for mother album "Blackout", organized by Britney's fans with the sole purpose of pushing the album to a new peak position of #1 on the US Billboard 200 Album Charts.
The alternate version is not thought to be the long-awaited original version, in which 'Brunette Britney' is reported to kill 'Blonde Britney' and attend her funeral. Instead, it appears the leak is merely a mash-up with some previously unused footage spliced in.
