Signed to DFA Records (co-owned by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem fame and Tim Goldsworthy of U.N.K.L.E. fame), New York electropop duo Holy Ghost! is comprised of childhood friends Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel.
Best known for their remixes for the likes of MGMT, Moby, Cut Copy, LCD Soundsystem and Mark Ronson & The Business Intl., Holy Ghost! was officially born in autumn 2007 after their hip-hop group Automato fell apart and they decided to focus on music with vocals and poppier arrangements (their first single, "Hold On", was released in November of that year). Alex has also written and worked with Penguin Prison, as you might remember from my recent interview with Penguin.
