The sets and camera work are almost identical in some areas of the video. The main problem with both the song and the video is her new "Bionic" image. There's only 4 big blonde popstars in the world - Madonna, Britney, Lady Gaga and to a lesser extent Christina - and each one strives to differentiate themselves from each other and break new boundaries. Christina has done NONE of that with this song and video, so yes, the comparisons and criticism are justified. Whether or not she did this on purpose, the fact remains it's neither original nor captivating. Not Myself Tonight - truer words have never been spoken. 1.5 / 5 stars |
