NEWS IN: CHER LLOYD & NEW SINGLE, ALBUM RELEASE, US X-FACTOR & MORE

UK X-Factor alumna Cher Lloyd is currently auditioning dancers for the music video of her first single, confirmed to be "Swagger Jagger" (possibly a typo of "Swagger Jacker", which makes alot more sense). The second audition has taken place and dancers were told to make themselves available for shooting mid-May. The songs the dancers auditioned to were Far East Movement's "Like A G6" and Will.i.am/Nicki Minaj's "Check It Out", so it is likely that Cher's song is in a similar vein as those two.

Cher has been hard at work on her debut album, which has been pushed back for release on September 12th. The first known collaboration for the project is US rap legend Busta Rhymes, though a spokesman for her label confirmed that other exciting collaborations are also being explored. Cher's sound is defined as "swag pop", incorporating both urban and Pop, English and American aspects. At least one track, created with Toby Gad and Livvi Franc, has dubstep influences; according to Wonderland magazine one of the tracks sports a "huge squelchy Dubstep bassline".
