Just as her new album "Here I Am" lands her her highest peak yet on the Billboard 200 at #3 (and #1 on the R&B Albums chart) with sales of 77,000, Kelly Rowland has been hard at work promoting both her music and herself over in America. The past few days have seen her grace the cover of VIBE, perform on Jay Leno, become the face of Diddy's new Sean John scent "Empress", make a cameo in "sister" Beyoncé's upcoming music video "Party", attend (alongside Beyoncé) Jay-Z's uber-exclusive listening party for new album "Watch The Throne", among various interviews and other media appearances.
Most importantly, lead single "Motivation" was not only certified Gold for sales in excess of 500,000 but also hit a new peak of #17 on the Billboard Hot 100, with increasing Pop airplay hinting at the possibility of an ever higher peak within the next few weeks; follow-up single "Lay It On Me" (whose video has already been shot) has even had to be pushed back to a later release date of August 16th to allow Motivation to die down on radio.
