Yesterday bubblegum rapper Nicki Minaj crossed the street from the MTV VMA's at the Nokia Theater to Taylor Swift's concert at the Staples Center to perform her smash hit "Super Bass" as one of Taylor's surprise concer tguests (Justin Bieber, Jason Mraz, Ryan and Nash from Hot Chelle Rae are other surprise guests who have appeared during Taylor's Speak Now tour).
The performance was of particular significance as Taylor Swift played a huge part in popularizing the song, after a video of her rapping Nicki's verse went viral prior to the song's release as a single.
Following the show, both stars took to Twitter "Taylor started this 'Super Bass' frenzy and I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart. I love you, Taylor," was Nicki's response, whilst Taylor tweeted "The combination of the INSANE crowed tonight and @NICKIMINAJ joining me onstage for 'Superbass' = #IwishIcouldhavethismoment4life." in reference to Nicki's breakthrough hit "Moment 4 Life".
