Beyoncé premieres new track "1+1" on American Idol Finale

In addition to performing "Crazy In Love" with the six female finalists of the show, superstar diva Beyoncé premiered brand new track (and her favorite song) "1+1" last night on American Idol's finaleThe track has already shot up iTunes charts, currently sitting at #11 on US iTunes Top 100 chart, ten spots above lead single "Run The World (Girls)" which sits at #21. The performance of the album's opener track has also benefited sales of the album "4", now available for pre-order.

Whilst Bey's 4-era weave still looks like it needs a good scrub, "1+1" is decidedly lush and delicious to listen to. The jury's still out on whether it would work as an actual single or not, especially at this crucial point where  the lead single "Girls" is not doing what it should (both at radio and sales-wise); nevertheless, it was smart of Bey to reassure her fans that her new material is just as diverse and versatile as her past, always swinging between the two poles of soulful R&B and club-ready mainstream.
